AyosDito.ph merges with OLX.ph
Ayosdito.ph is joining olx.ph starting January 22, 2015 making them the biggest online advertising company in the Philippines.
Why did OLX and AyosDito merge? As explained in OLX.ph site,
We both have 1 common goal in mind and that is to help Filipinos improve their lives through facilitating win-win exchanges. Merging the 2 strong platforms can only lead to shared expertise and knowledge to effectively educate the market about online classifieds and most importantly, increase the number of successful transactions for you!
With this merging, starting January 22, all users will now be redirected to www.olx.ph. AyosDito member's ads will not get reposted automatically on OLX. Instead, the site will be sending an e-mail to members so they can select which ads they would want to get reposted by OLX on their website.
According to OLX site, the merger to create a better online classifieds platform that possesses a larger abundance of items for sale and a larger base of potential buyers, all under a single brand and there's no buying happened.
As per AyosDito site, it was because they just have one goal in mind.
To help Filipinos improve their lives through online buying and selling. Merging the two strong websites can help more buyers and sellers enjoy a successful online classifieds experience.

From the looks of it, all of AYOS will be redirected to OLX. It does not seem good to online sellers like me, since I have less opportunity to post my ads without being flagged by OLX as duplicate ad. For those looking for other classified ads site, try www.mybenta.com. I am actively selling there myself, since it does not have any approval process and the site is pretty much growing fast.
